Why Assam Tea
Where the character of the tea begins.
From the fertile plains of the Brahmaputra to the tea gardens of Assam, the region's soil, rainfall and warm, humid climate help shape the bold, malty character Assam tea is known for. Tea Board India notes that Assam produces both CTC and Orthodox teas, each offering a different tea experience.
Whether you enjoy a strong cup of everyday chai or prefer the refined character of Orthodox tea, Assam offers a remarkable range of flavours and styles.
